Exchange and Limited Refund Policy

We want you to feel good about your first Salt + Threads tee. Every shirt is printed to order, so our policy works a little differently than a traditional return policy — but if the fit is off, your item arrives with an issue, or something isn’t right with your order, we’ll help make it right.

You’ll find the full details below, including our First-Time Fit Promise, exchanges, replacements, and eligible refunds.

1-Year Wear-It-Hard Guarantee

Most brands stop at 30 days. We give you 365.

We want you to live in your tee — wash it, wear it, take it everywhere.

If your tee fails within 1 year of purchase because of a manufacturing issue, we will make it right.

This may include:

• Print cracking or peeling under normal washing
• Fabric tearing or thinning under regular wear
• Collar warping from standard laundering

If it does not hold up the way it should, contact us. We will review the issue and make it right with a replacement or refund when it qualifies under this policy.

What’s Not Covered

This guarantee does not cover:

• Accidental damage
• Alterations
• Excessive heat or misuse
• Cosmetic fading of interior tags
• Natural softening or character from wear
• Refund requests based on preference, change of mind, or ordering the wrong item, since each product is custom made to order
• Minor variations in print placement, color tone, or garment feel that can happen in the custom printing process and do not affect the item’s intended use

How Our Policy Works

We do not offer traditional returns.

Every tee is custom made to order. If something is off, we would rather fix it than make you ship it back and wait around. In most approved cases, you can keep the original tee to gift or donate.

Because each item is custom made to order, we do not offer refunds for preference-based issues, change-of-mind requests, or ordering the wrong item. Refunds are only available if the product arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or qualifies under our 1-Year Wear-It-Hard Guarantee.

Our goal is simple: you feel good about what shows up at your door.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Item

If your tee arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 14 days of delivery and we will make it right.

Approved issues may be resolved with a replacement or refund, depending on the situation.

Refunds and replacements are subject to review based on the photos and order details provided.

To help us resolve it quickly, include:

• A photo of the issue
• A short description
• Your order number

Fit or Size Not Quite Right

First-Time Fit Promise

Ordered your usual size and it is just… off? No problem.

Your first size exchange is on us for up to 2 tees total from your first purchase with Salt + Threads — no returns, no labels, no extra cost. We’ll send the right size so you get the fit you actually want.

To qualify, contact us within 14 days of delivery.

The First-Time Fit Promise:

• Applies to first-time customers only
• Covers up to 2 tees total
• Valid for one time per customer / household / shipping address
• Applies to size changes only
• Does not apply to style changes, color changes, or preference-based swaps
• Does not apply separately to multiple orders placed by the same customer
• No need to send the original tee back.

After Your First Exchange

All tees are printed on the same premium blank. Once you know your size, you will know it for every tee going forward.

For that reason, additional size-related requests after your first order are not eligible for refund or free exchange unless the item qualifies under another part of this policy.

Refund Timing

If we issue a refund, it will be sent back to your original payment method.

Your bank or card provider may take 3–10 business days to post it.
